The bars are all in close proximity so resembles a scene that could be Magaluf with all the noise with lots of alcohol being consumed. Over 1000 Portsmouth University students of all ages wearing the custom made orange t-shirts costing ¿10 each with the route of six the bars and clubs printed with a box to tick once completed. The crawl started at The Lyberry Bar and followed with Yates's, Zanzi, The Fleet, Popworld, ending the night at Liquid & Envy nightclub in the early hours of this morning (Monday) despite students having lectures hours later. Making over ¿10,000 for the organisers. Printed on the t-shirt are seven tasks for the students to complete. I kissed Batman/Batwoman, Tickled a random Superman, I just found my Superwoman, Had a thumb war with Thor, I just Hugged the Incredible Hulk, 3 random acts of generosity and Arm wrestled with Iron Man. Many students dressed up as superheroes on the night. The Carnage UK events are run by Varsity Leisure Group that puts on many pub crawls throughout Britain for tens of thousands of university students. Carnage founder is entrepreneur Paul Bahia, 36, a Birmingham University languages graduate. Boasting on there website that they were Voted the UK's Number 1 Student Event since 2004 and featured on television, newspapers both in the UK and worldwide. They describe their event as 'One night, 1000's of students, the best bars, the best clubs, throw in an incredibly entertaining fancy dress theme and the iconic Carnage UK event t-shirt' This years events so far are being staged in Bradford, Derby, Huddersfield, Hull, Hanley, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool and Portsmouth. Organisers have been criticised in the past for encouraging binge drinking and anti-social behaviour so in small print on the t-shirt warns the students to drink responsibly and show their ID and displayed safe posters in the streets. Paramedics also set up a triage in a building in Guildhall Walk to treat the students called a 'Safe Space' A separate Carnage company known as Carnage Magaluf was criticised after a Brit teenager performing oral sex on 24 men surfaced in 2014, this company was dissolved earlier this year by director Gary Maskell according to Companies House who is no longer a director of an active company.
